The Southport Sharks defeated Yeronga-South Brisbane by 241 points, winning 37.25 (247) to 1.0 (6).
 
Southport kicked seven goals to zero in the first quarter and 13 goals to one in the second quarter.
 
In the third quarter Southport kicked nine goals and in the last term the Sharks kicked eight goals.
 
Southport had 19 different goal kickers in the victory with Olivia Meagher and Rianna Schipp leading the way with four goals each.
 
After the game Southport Coach Matt Lappin said, “It was another really good performance from our girls.”
 
“The girls did a great job at sharing the ball around and individually sacrificed things for the benefit of the team.”
 
“We know what the end goal is as a club, we are striving towards that and I’m proud of how our players are embracing that.”
 
Next week, Southport travel to Brisbane to play the University of Queensland at UQ Playing Field 2 on Saturday 28 June at 3:45pm.

Unfortunately, the Reserves game did not go ahead due to Yeronga South Brisbane not being able to field a team this week. Next week, Southport travel to Brisbane to play the University of Queensland at UQ Playing Field 2 on Saturday 28 June at 5:45pm.
