After the game Southport Coach Matt Lappin said, “We were really keen to bounce back from our first loss of the year and set ourselves to put in a really good performance.”

“It was an even first quarter, but as the longer the game went, I thought we were able to wear down Wilston Grange who are a high energy and high running team.”

“At quarter time we spoke about winning it at the source and making them chase us. In the end we were really pleased with how we ended the game.”
