This Easter Saturday, footy returns to Fankhauser Reserve for one of the biggest days on the calendar — the Doc Mackenzie Cup.
Make the most of the long weekend with a free day out for the whole family, as the Sharks take on the Gold Coast Suns from 12pm. With a relaxed Easter vibe and big crowd energy, it’s the perfect way to spend your Saturday.
It will be the fifth time the Sharks and the Suns have played for the Doc Mackenzie Cup, which commemorates Dr Alan Mackenzie, who was an influential figure at both clubs.
Arrive early and stay late, with plenty happening across the club all day. Enjoy food and drinks before, during and after the game, with Frenzy’s serving up a Game Day special — Pizza and a Pint for $20 — while Kaktus offers a lively atmosphere, cocktails and a great vantage point to soak it all in.
Around the ground, Triple M will be bringing the Easter energy with activations, giveaways and a live DJ keeping the vibes rolling throughout the day.
