The Southport Sharks would like to congratulate Hannah Davies and Maddy Watt, who will be playing their 50th game for Southport Sharks on Saturday at Neil Upton Oval on the Sunshine Coast against Maroochydore at 2pm.
Both players played in the 2020 and 2021 QFAW Division 1 Premierships and played in last year’s QAFLW Grand Final.
Davies was the co-captain in 2020 and 2021 and was the clubs’ leading goal kicker in 2020.
Watt was a Southport Junior and won the Sharks’ best and fairest in 2021 and 2022.
She also won the QFAW Division 1 League Best and Fairest in 2021.
General Manager – Football Operations Jarrod Field said, “It is a great achievement by Hannah and Maddy to be the first senior women’s players at Sharks to play 50 games.”
“They have been an integral part of establishing the foundations of our senior women’s program and helping us transition from QFAW Division 1 to QAFLW.”
