The Southport Sharks are pleased to announce their VFL Leadership Group for 2023.
Jacob Dawson and Mike Manteit will remain as Co-Captains for the second year.
Mackenzie Willis and Brayden Crossley will be the club’s Vice-Captains.
Willis was Vice-Captain in 2022, and Crossley has been elevated to the joint-position after two years in the Leadership Group.
Veteran Tom Fields will remain in the Leadership Group for 2023, with Zac Foot and Jesse Joyce joining the Leadership Group for the first time.
Foot started at the club last year after a stint at the Sydney Swans and Casey Demons and it is Joyce’s third year at the club after coming off the Suns list.
Southport Coach Steve Daniel said, “I’m very happy with our Leadership Group that we have assembled for 2023.”
“We go through a thorough process every year, and all the players selected should be proud to lead this football club. It is a huge honour and one I know they take seriously.”
