Peyton Mackie was the recipient of the QAFLW Trademark Award, selected by player vote for the individual who best reflects the values of the Club within the QAFLW program.
The evening also honoured three new inductees into the Southport Sharks Hall of Fame – Brent Renouf, Selina Priest, and Haydn Kiel – acknowledging their remarkable contributions to the Club.
Renouf played in the 2005 and 2006 Senior Premierships for Southport before being drafted by Hawthorn at Pick 24 in the 2006 National Draft. He went on to play 52 games for the Hawks, including the 2008 Premiership, before joining Port Adelaide in 2012 where he played a further 16 AFL games.
Kiel is also a two-time premiership player for Southport. The forward-midfielder played more than 100 senior games for the Club, won the Grogan Medal (NEAFL Northern Conference Best and Fairest) in 2013, and was previously on the rookie lists for both Brisbane and Hawthorn.
Priest was drafted by the Brisbane Lions at Pick 98 in the 2016 AFL Women’s Draft and made her debut in the Lions’ inaugural AFLW match against Melbourne. She won the Emma Zielke Medal (QAFLW Best and Fairest) in her first season at Southport in 2022 and, in 2024, was part of the Club’s inaugural QAFLW Senior Premiership.
Finally, the Bill Wood Club Person of the Year was awarded jointly to Krystal Scott and Matt Palmer for their outstanding commitment and service to the Southport Sharks Football Club.
