Southport Coach Steve Daniel said, “It wasn’t the way we wanted to finish our year, but unfortunately Collingwood were too good for us.”
“As a club, we are disappointed not to make finals especially after making the Grand Final last year.”
“However, we have learnt a lot this year and we will review it hard and look at how we can get better in all aspects so that we can more on field success next year.”
“We love being a part of the VFL, and we are excited by the challenge of trying to get back to where we were in our first two years in the competition.”
