Southport defeated Aspley by 125 points, winning 19.19 (133) to 1.2 (8).

The Sharks kicked six goals to zero in the opening quarter which set the tone for the rest of the match.
Southport led by 72 points at half time and 103 points at three quarter time.
The Hornets kicked a consolation goal in the final term, but it was not enough to stop the Sharks recording their biggest ever win over Aspley in the QAFLW.
Kierra Zerafa (40 disposals and four tackles) and Sunny Lappin (31 disposals and two goals) were exceptional for Southport.
Dekota Baron also kicked five goals in her second game for the Sharks this season.
After the game Southport Coach Matthew Lappin said, “It was probably our best performance of the year. We were very proud of it.”
“We had a number of contributors, and we were able to execute our game style effectively.”
“I think everybody could see on Saturday, the fruits of hard work the girls have put in to be a high scoring and fast ball movement team.”
“We have got three more games left in the home and away season, so this period is all about refining our game every week to make sure we are ready for finals.”
Next week, Southport travel to Brisbane to take on Coorparoo as part of the second week of Pride Round at Giffin Park 1 on Saturday 26 July at 4:45pm.

Southport defeated Aspley by 78 points, winning 12.12 (84) to 1.0 (6).
The Sharks kicked five goals to zero in the first half to lead by 38 points at the main break.
Southport scored a further two goals early in the third quarter before Aspley kicked their first and only major of the game.
At three quarter time the Sharks led by 51 points and in the last quarter they put a further four goals on the scoreboard.
After the match Southport Coach Shannan Tate said, “Aspley brought a lot of contest and pressure around the ball.”
“I think we improved as the game wore on and in the end, it was a great win.”
“The cleaner we are with our fundamental skills, the more dangerous we are as a team, and I think that was evident in the second half.”
