Southport would like to welcome former North Melbourne VFL forward Sam Lowson, who has signed with the club ahead of the 2025 VFL season.

Lowson has played the last two seasons for North Melbourne’s VFL team after starting his VFL career at Coburg in 2017.

In 2020, he won a premiership for the Woodville-West Torrens Eagles in the SANFL before returning to Coburg in 2021.

Earlier this year, Lowson played in the VFL state team against the SANFL alongside Hugh Dixon, Brayden Crossley, Ben Jepson, Boyd Woodcock and Jacob Dawson.

Southport’s General Manager of Football Operations, Jarrod Field, said, “We are thrilled Sam has decided to join the Sharks.”

“He comes to the club as an experienced VFL player who can make an immediate impact for us in 2025”.
