Both players joined the Sharks ahead of the 2022 season and have since become integral members of the team.

Before joining the Sharks, Boyd Woodcock played 12 AFL games for Port Adelaide and Max Spencer played eight games for the Gold Coast Suns.

Spencer has been very important for the Sharks in defence, finishing in the club’s top ten in the best and fairest the past two seasons.

Southport’s General Manager of Football Operations, Jarrod Field, said, “We have been really impressed with how well Boyd and Max have represented the club over the past two and half seasons.”

“They both bring great experience from playing at the highest level, and it has been terrific to have them at the club.”

“We wish them all the best in their milestone game, and hopefully we will be able to celebrate with a win.”
