Three Southport Sharks QAFLW players have been drafted to AFLW clubs at Tuesday Night’s Supplementary Draft.

Small forward Caitlin Miller was drafted by GWS at pick 8, midfielder Poppy Boltz was drafted by Brisbane at pick 16 and midfielder Annise Bradfield was drafted by GWS at pick 22.

All three played QAFLW for the Sharks last year with Miller and Bradfield being Sharks juniors.

Miller and Bradfield will join fellow former Sharks junior Fleur Davies at the GWS Giants.

Southport’s General Manager of Football Jarrod Field said, “I am so happy for the girls. It is an amazing achievement to see these girls live out their dream and get drafted.”

“They are all extremely hard working and deserve to be on AFLW lists.”

“As much as we will miss having these girls play with us this year, we are over the moon for them and wish them all the best.”

“We believe we have the perfect pathway to give opportunities for players to get drafted.”

The tally of Southport Juniors and Seniors getting drafted to the AFLW is now 12.
