Southport hosted Bond University at Fankhauser Reserve on Saturday in Round 11 of the QAFLW. 

Sunday’s VFL preliminary final between the Southport Sharks and the Gold Coast Suns will go down in Gold Coast football folklore. 

The QAFLW Round 12 match between Southport and Aspley was abandoned in the second quarter due to an injury.

The Southport Sharks have started their 2024 season with a resounding 46 point win in their Round 1 clash against fellow standalone club Port Melbourne.

The Southport Sharks VFL team have won their last seven games after defeating Box Hill Hawks by 15 points at Box Hill City Oval on Saturday.
